Genuine Sony original replacement part. OEM

The microphone jack on a Alpha camera like the Sony A7 III can be replaced for several reasons, including:

Physical damage: If the microphone jack is physically damaged, such as being bent or broken, it will need to be replaced to restore functionality.
Connection issues: Over time, the internal connections of the microphone jack can wear out or become loose, leading to poor or no connection with external microphones. Replacing the jack will solve this issue.
Corrosion: Exposure to moisture or environmental factors can cause corrosion to develop on the microphone jack, affecting its performance. Replacing the jack will resolve this issue.
Intermittent or no sound: If you’re experiencing intermittent sound or no sound at all when using an external microphone, it could be due to a faulty microphone jack that needs replacement.
No sound on one channel: A common reason for no sound on one channel when using an external microphone is a faulty microphone jack. If the jack is damaged or malfunctioning, it can cause sound to be recorded on only one channel. Such as only on the left channel or right channel.
Not switching from internal microphone to external microphone: Not switching from the internal microphone to the external microphone when an external microphone is connected, it could be due to a faulty microphone jack. Issues with the jack can prevent the camera from detecting and switching to the external microphone.
