There is a problem with the LCD screen. The LCD screen menu does not work. The LCD screen only works when you flip it over and lay it against the body.

The camcorder will display a condensation error or dew error. This problem will sometimes occur even if the camcorder was not subjected to moisture. Error code C:21:00 might appear.
When the dew sensors on this model camcorder is faulty, the camcorder will display this error. The dew sensor on the camcorder needs to be replaced by a qualified technician. The camcorder will need to be shipped in for repair. Fill out the our Repair Order Form, and ship the camcorder into us for a free estimate. Video camera is displaying a tape transport or mechanical error code such as C:31:11 C:32:11 C:31:22 C:32:22 C:31:23 C:32:23 C:31:30 C:32:30 C:31:40 C:32:40 C:31:42 C:32:42. Maybe dispaying a "check tab" error , when tring to record. The camcorder may not load the tape, may be stuck in the open position.
These error codes display when there is a mechanical problem with the camcorder or a tape problems. The first step is to try a new fresh tape. We would also recommend resetting the camcorder. This is done by removing the battery or ac power, waiting 10 seconds, and then reapplying the battery or ac power. Test the camcorder again using the new fresh tape.
If the camcorder continues to display an error, the camcorder will need to be shipped in for repair. Fill out the our Repair Order Form, and ship the camcorder into us for a free estimate. Camcorder does not display a picture on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder when playing back a tape. You may have a blue screen, or lines through the picture. This problem will also occur when playing back on a monitor.
You may have a clogged or dirty video head.
If you own a head cleaner tape you can try running the head cleaner tape no more than 2 or 3 time, and only 10 seconds at a time. Make sure to follow the directions on the head cleaner tape carefully.
If you do not own a head cleaner tape, try running a new fresh tape through the camcorder from beginning to end.
Never use a Q-Tip a clean your video heads, it can destroy them. Never spray any cleaner inside the camcorder this can also cause severe damage.

There is a problem with the video camera when you hook it up to the computer. The computer will not communicate with the video camera via the firewire port connector or DV jack Connector. The camcorder will not capture.
